Azure skies, abundant sunshine, and picturesque mountain views in the front range community of Broomfield, Colorado provide the inspiration…but at Lucky Duck Soap & Spa we handcraft soap and spa-inspired products that are as wonderful to use as they are beautiful. With that in mind, we carefully select our ingredients for their quality, the role they play in the final product, and how ethically they are obtained.
Excellent customer service is also a top priority in our business. We treasure your business and want you to return and send others our way. We package our products carefully and ship them as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We also try to make the world a better place by making our environmental footprint as small as possible and championing local and world causes.
I am such a Lucky Duck! Not too many people find their passion in life, let alone have the ability to pursue it. As the founder and owner of Lucky Duck Soap and Spa, I would like to welcome you to our website. I hope you love our products as much as we enjoy making them for you.
My passion is soapmaking: I love the alchemy involved in combining water, oils and butters, and lye and coming up with something completely different: SOAP! I made my first batch of cold process soap in 2001 by following a tutorial for “Tiny Angel Castile Soap”. I have enjoyed the skin-loving benefits of handmade soap ever since. The alchemy may have drawn me to soapmaking, but it’s creative aspects have continued to fire my passion over the years. You know you’re a soapmaker when you lay awake at night dreaming up color palettes, swirling techniques, and fragrance blends.
I am an Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild certified soapmaker at the advanced level. The HSCG affords me the opportunity for continued education in my craft. I recently attended the Guild’s annual conference in Tampa, Florida, and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know other soapmakers while learning more about the art and science of soapmaking during the conference sessions. I took and passed my advanced exam while there, and learned more about the next steps in the certification process. Going to conference was a valuable experience. I was so happy that I was able to attend.
